This was my fourth time at Simon’s Rock, where they faculty and students have always been so open to new programs. The Smackdown was welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd that sacrificed the first beautiful day of Spring for an afternoon in a dark theatre! The preference was overwhelmingly for Prokofiev, with the only segmentation of any contest being non-pianists, with an almost even split.
