I was so happy to have the opportunity to play for and speak to the dedicated teachers in the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area. The turnout at Greaves was wonderfully enthusiastic and lively, with an age span from 5 years old to 91 years old! And, not surprisingly, this lively crowd went for majority Prokofiev at 54%, Debussy 46%. Which brings the overall contest between the two to an dead heat, at 29 concert wins each!! Interestingly, it was a pianist-heavy audience (more than 70% play or had played piano) but it didn’t make a difference - both pianists and non-pianists trended toward Prokofiev. Check it out below!
