I was delighted to return for the 3rd time to the Howland Cultural Center in downtown Beacon! For the kids, I did a concentrated version of Heart and Soul, parents voting alongside their kids! Great participation, great attention and engagement from all. The results reinforce the general observation that preference for Prokofiev seems to follow age - the younger you are, the more you are likely to vote for Prokofiev! Debussy did win Round 2 handily, but Prokofiev won the other two rounds by an even larger margin. Thank you Howland Chamber Music Circle for bringing all of these kids to experience live piano! I’ll come back anytime!
