Ogallala was the beginning of a long string of concerts for the wonderful Allied Concerts organization. I’m so pleased to get a chance to 1) reacquaint myself with the heart of this country and 2) give people an unforgettable piano recital experience. Many people in the audience came with familiarity with Debussy and Prokofiev. Many others came with no familiarity at all! But through voting, everyone has a chance to listen and see how music affects them. Tonight’s overall results were incredibly close, even though almost every round was a landslide in one direction or another. Debussy came out on top. But the breakdowns are extremely interesting!
