Allied Concerts Anaconda MT

The Washoe Theatre in Anaconda, MT is a National Historical Landmark, an Art Deco jewel in a small Western mountain town. Backstage, which I shared with the mounted head of a deer, was covered with concert and movie posters dating back decades. Tonight’s results were so overwhelmingly Debussy, the few exceptions really stood out - Round 1 was a strong Prokofiev win (Romeo & Juliet) and age 21-40 was a heavy Prokofiev win (but with very few people in this range). Even among piano players, usually favoring Prokofiev, the winner was Debussy, by a very small margin. An enthusiastic audience and a beautiful theater. Thank you!
