Snow and ice could not keep East Ridge Middle School from missing Classical Smackdown. My congratulations to the students and teachers for being one of the most focused and attentive audiences I’ve had the pleasure to play for.
The results were very skewed to a Prokofiev win, but Debussy had some very strong supporters. In fact, Debussy won Round 2 for the 7th graders, in very challenging and sophisticated repertoire. Great job to all of you for keeping your listening ears and tastes open!
